I know this week seems like it's all about Elison, and it really is. You see, that's what happens at our house when it's your birthday. It doesn't just last 1 or 2 days...it lasts the whole freakin' week! Unless your Jordan and then you somehow get away with basically a birthday month!
Anyways, yesterday I got the opportunity to go and be a guest speaker at Elie's preschool. They are studying 'People at Work' and yesterday was outside workers. Who better to talk about that then me-right? Well, I was actually quite intimidated by talking to 12 4 and 5 year olds. I didn't know what to say to keep their attention. So I brought some visual aids instead. And since they did Elie's birthday spotlight then too, I just kept her up by me and made her my model.
I brought all my safety equipment and put on her so I could stress the importance of staying safe while outside. It's amazing what some bright yellow ear muffs, a orange safety vest, some knee pads, safety glasses, and some steel-toed shoes can do. The kids were cracking up. And it ended up being a great day for me and for her.
The crown is from her spotlight, but in my opinion, it only adds to the whole effect!

I didn't even notice the crown until you mentioned it...I just thought it was part of your work wardrobe! I bet the kids thought your job was awesome!
Hahaha! That's hilarious. What a perfect little model. :)
Well done! Great idea! Sounds like it went well.
Cute picture of Elie.
Don't worry that you are talking about Elie all week. I think you should.
