Oh, How I LOVE the (Jr.) Jazz

I decided to devote this post to Traeden and the Jazz.  See, the 2 are kind of the same really.  Traeden is used to be the biggest Jazz fan of them all.  I'll explain:

Way back when...before a guy by the name of LeBron James decided to join the NBA, Traeden LOVED the Jazz.  I couldn't have been prouder of the little guy either.  We bought him every Jazz jersey, took him to get autographs and meet the players, even painted his room Jazz colors with a big Jazz logo.  Now that he's 8 and can form an opinion for himself, he has decided that LeBron and the (Cleveland) Caveliers are much, much cooler.  For his birthday he picked out a LeBron jersey and has tried to wear that sucker everyday.  If it wasn't for our rule of only 2 jerseys per week and never 2 days in a row, he would too.

So my dad, knowing of Trae's passion for King James, gave Traeden 2 tickets to last nights Utah Jazz vs. Cleveland Cavs.  Of course Traeden choose his favorite Jazz buddy-Grandpa-to go to the game with.  Well, my dad ended up with all 6 of his tickets so he invited me and Jordan, Grandma Grace, and Aunt Karen to tag along with them.  The battle was now on!  It was Trae in his Cavs garb and the 5 of us in our Retro Jazz green.

To spare you the details of the the 3.5 hour game, it was a battle.  The Jazz never really led but Cleveland never really had a huge lead either.  Trae was loving that Cleveland was beating us...until...the Jazz went on a run.  It was in the 4th quarter (so it was like 11:15 pm) and the Jazz went on a roll.  I was loving it!  I looked over at Trae and his head was in his hands and he was crying (sound of my heart breaking inserted here).  He was so distraught that he missed the 20-2 run by the Cavs, particularly the run by James himself that gave the Cavs a 4 point lead with 30 seconds left.  Well, he came out of his funk and the game came down to the wire.  The Jazz ended up winning on a last second, hail Mary 3-point shot, from a rookie that has never made a 3 point bucket in his 5 games as an NBA player.  And Traeden went postal.  Again, my heart was broke.  He cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried and cried somemore.

I am happy to report that he was normal this morning though.

I am also happy to report that he is back to being a Jazz fan now that our only game against King James is over.  This is good too because he plays on one awesome Jr. Jazz team!

They had their 1st game last Wednesday.  And they kicked some butt too.  They were really fun to watch.  They stopped counting the score when it was 20 to 2 so I don't know what the final score really was, but they scored way more points then just the 20 they were given credit for.

So, here are all the Jr. Jazz and Jazz pics from the last couple of days.  Enjoy!
